linking dining packages

DW and I are sailing with son and his wife...booked separately and through different TA's....we would each like to buy the BOGO package and be seated together....i understand that i cannot link the reservations through royal's website unless we call the respective TAs first....my question is...can we each buy the package and then show up on embarkation day and arrange the seating at that time??
