Elation dry dock

Hi all! We're cruising on the Elation on Nov 27th. We have an ocean view booked but are hoping they turn our room into a balcony during the current dry dock they're doing now. Anyone ever gotten that lucky? If so, were you charged any more since you paid for ocean view and now have a balcony? Thanks in advance!

that would be really cool if it did happen to work out like that. I haven't seen anywhere that they are adding balconies to the Elation. One thing you could do is check future sailings and see if your cabin is a balcony in the future.

If you look at the deckplans for Sensation/Ecstasy/Fascination, you can see which OV cabins had balconies added. You can compare those cabin numbers to the one you have booked and see if you might get lucky. EM

There's a crew member in a FB group that I'm in, freaking out because the storm is projected to hit Freeport on Friday and they need to get out to sea, but they're trying to cover all the holes they've already cut in the ship for the balconies. Sounds like a five alarm Chinese fire drill going on there.

The above is correct, my husband is on the Elation at the moment and told me the same thing - they will be sorting the holes and getting ready to set sail if they need to.

A lot of the contractors are staying on another ship docked next to them, but they will be moved to the Elation if she needs to set sail, so they can continue working whilst she's bobbing around in the storm.
