deeko Posted October 10, 2017 #76 Share Posted October 10, 2017 Hello to all. A simple question I hope. NCL allow a cancellation because of a "significant change" of itinerary. That means among other things a change of 2 ports. Are they allowing cancellations at this time because of "significant change". Many of us have at least 2 port changes. Thanks for all your thoughts. Kudos! I honestly like this even better than the original itinerary, i.e. sea days, 3 ports, sea day, 3 ports and then sea days to return. It just seems more relaxing to me. :D I am not sure why Barbados had to be replaced with Martinique but it is fine with me as long as we are in the Southern Caribbean. Deeko Are you outside the US? If so, I believe you have more protections than those of us booking within the US. If NCL is required by your contract to allow cancellations due to itinerary changes, they will. You should call either NCL or your travel agent. :D
jandj1224 Posted October 10, 2017 #79 Share Posted October 10, 2017 I can completely understand someones frustration that itinerary was drastically changed 1 day after final payment with no option to cancel without penalty. I think its more the timing that is upsetting. I just logged in to see my itinerary was updated for January Escape sailing however I never received an update via email. I did receive the email a few weeks ago that they would let us know when rescheduled.
Wizpharm2 Posted October 11, 2017 #80 Share Posted October 11, 2017 Leaving on the Gem out of NYC on Oct 31, 2017. E-mail just sent out it saying will be one more week before we know where we are going. Currently on only one out of five scheduled ports appears to able to accept cruise ships. Maplemoose Posted October 12, 2017 #81 Share Posted October 12, 2017 Has anyone heard of any changes to western itineraries due to a domino effect of other rescheduling? We are booked on the Epic western cruise on Frbruary 17. It appears the Epic rotates routes during the winter and I am just curious about the possibilty of a change. As long as the dates are not changed I don't have a problem as I have a non-refundable flight paid.
