GeorgesGal Posted October 5, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2017 We are on the 1-16-18 cruise (Lima/Papeete) and have passed final payment date. Can anyone let me know how far in advance O releases flights for those booked with O's air? Thanks, Donna
kreastman Posted October 5, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2017 Once you have made final payment, ask your TA to have you ticketed, then you can go online with your airline and select/change seats, etc.
Rare LHT28 Posted October 5, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 5, 2017 usually 60-75 days out but they are not ticketed until about 30 days out unless you request them to do so earlier
kreastman Posted October 6, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 6, 2017 My TA got me ticketed in August for a December cruise.
GeorgesGal Posted October 6, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted October 6, 2017 Thanks, all! Contacted my TA just now and am asking for deviation to disembark on the 2nd after dinner and fly out on the 2300 flight that night instead of sitting around the next day, paying for a day room, meals, taxis, etc. This way seems simpler to me. Of course we need to get "permission" from Oceania to leave early. Don't understand why since it's my money I'm 'throwing away' by leaving a half day early.

Your TA can notify Oceania. They likely need to know because you will be using your keycard to get off of the ship and they might think that you're missing if you haven't returned by the next morning. Also, they could want to assist you with luggage.
JimandStan Posted October 6, 2017 #8 Share Posted October 6, 2017 Of course we need to get "permission" from Oceania to leave early. Don't understand why since it's my money I'm 'throwing away' by leaving a half day early Even though we carry our Passports with us, Cruise Ships enter and leave ports under what are known as "Yachting Privileges" where they basically vouch for us with the authorities during our sojourn on the ship. "Permission" is really a courtesy issue in a port where you're overnighting at the end of a cruise, because laws and costs are unlikely to be impinged The real issue comes up when a passenger wants to leave the cruise at an earlier port where disembarkation's were not scheduled. GeorgesGal Posted October 7, 2017 Author #9 Share Posted October 7, 2017 Thanks, all, for your input. And, yes, we will be overnighting in Papeete. Donna
