Dining with friends MDR

What's the best way to make certain that we can dine with our friends in the MDR? The option for planning our dining is not available in the Cruise Planner as it only shows Chef's Table. Call ahead or day of embarkation? We both booked our cruise directly with RCI.for the Majesty.

If you have my time dining, just show up together to the dining room. If you have early or late seating, call Royal and ask them to link your reservations for dining.

Thanks! Just called and first CSR said they needed to have my friends on the phone, but played CSR roulette and the next one said, "Sure No Problem!" Provided all the reservation numbers and names and we are set! ... :D

For the future, what you need to do is link your reservations. We've traveled with friends and linked our reservations (all you need is everyone's reservation number and one TA or RCI can do it) and we sat together. We're traveling in one week with two couples and our reservations are linked and we all have late dining and will sit together.
