Orleancruiser got the reference data above ...

Hush ... nothing is going to happen to jinx the BA again anytime soon until she goes into drydock ... next year or what not.

It happened to her on the way back to NY back in 2014 when she was relatively new ... sensational media headline that she's stranded on the Hudson River. Tug boats had to go out & help steer her into the berth, delaying arrival, etc. - news in Seatrade Cruise News:

http://www.seatrade-cruise.com/news/news-headlines/norwegian-breakaway-delay-in-ny-due-to-caution-on-azipod-currents.html

The question came up again last year as Q&A with the captain at a gathering, might've been the Latitude reception for Gold/Platinum at Fat Cats ... might've been about the bow thruster. Think positive & let's focus on positve news ... karma, chi, etc.

That rain poncho reminded me of ours, when we're in Taiwan 2 years ago & brought them, just in case ... never used it and pack it along for Bermuda last May due to forecast - going to put them in the bottom as our guardian, to ward off mother nature's evil spirit (it worked before, LOL.)

Only positive thought from me!! :) All systems are go!

Have you noticed if they have any seasonal Sam Adams available? (bottles or tap).

According to the bartender at MIXX the only seasonal is around winterfest and not always.

Some people are very talented... others not so much, but fun none the less.

Now we are out on deck 7 promenade to watch sail away.

For all who have visited Port Canaveral, what are your thoughts on it as a stop?

Watching the ship move away, sideway from the pier ... turning around to head out the basin & channel to sea.

Everyone accounted for & back onboard, no pier runners to deal with - that is good. Last time we're there, delayed by almost 90 minutes & eventually unloaded luggage.

PC stop isn't bad, problem is the time there is way, way too short - especially for those trying to visit the theme parks with children/kids. KSC, based on the present schedule, whether it's the BA or the Gem, is the only other worthwhile shorex of interest. One can only go to Coca Beach and Coca Village so many times without getting bored. Just my nickel's worth of thoughts, FWIW.

That casino should be coming to life pretty soon, right ... SD67.

We feel the exact same thoughts on PC as a stop. The one visit on Quantum arrived at 6:30 and stayed until 9 so had plenty of time for the theme park excursion. That was an 8 day to be fair.

You say the casino is opening? I will check and report back ;)

We like going to Ron Jon's and Cocoa Village, so the stop is just fine with us! Do wish it docked earlier so we could do a full day at Kennedy Space Center.

We enjoyed Ron Jon as well as the beach near there in good weather. We have been fortunate enough to have done this route many times along with Cocoa Beach area, so looked for something different this time.

Guess we have to come back again and give it another go :)

I have not even looked to see if they offered the Disney Shuttle this trip, but since we arrived late it may have made that excursion problematic.

Lol. I was actually referring to Bill Murray in Caddyshsck right before the reverend in the pic you post grabbed him to caddy.

I am surprised that this sailing docks so late in Port Canaveral. I already think it is way overpriced to go to any of them Disney, universal or Seaworld. Then to tack on the ship mark up. And for ony 7 or 8 hours including about 2 hours of travel. Just not worth the expense to me.

Obviously a whole lot of people feel it is worth it or they would not be selling bus loads. But I just feel any of those parks are better served as a land based trip. The exception would be if I had park passes already (maby season pass holder) and only had to pay for transportation.

If you have the SDP, please let us know if you can order multiple appetizers, especially at Ocean Blue.

Sorry I cannot answer definitively as Mrs Seadog eats no seafood so that limits us going to OB. I can say I have orderd multiple apps in La Cucina and in Cagneys in the past. Hopefully someone else can give a more definitive answer.

Missed the reference, and at one time I had that movie memorized.

As for the parks we rushed when we arrived at the park at 9 am and left at 5-5:30non quantum. On the current schedule you are probably right that it is at most 4 hours of park time. We will leave that to the younger folks to book :)

Well, Day 3 is in the books. Not the most interesting or exciting day but did not have to work so it rates a 10!

Arrived back to this little fella

No worries. Time to show my age. Caddyshack and Airplane were watched over and over as they were the first video tapes we got with our first VCR as a teenager.

Great review I love the video's!! Breakaway is my favorite ship we have sailed her twice. Last time was this past May and we were in HC accessible AFT balcony on deck 11. We called NCL when booking and were assigned this cabin. Then were shocked that it was an HC accessible and the balcony was huge. Definitely could feel more movement but found it relaxing. Did you try to get a Vibe pass? We got lucky and got the last 2 really made our week great[emoji4]
