hastley Posted November 2, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2017 Was wondering if this cabin 8507 which is an interior on ncl star at the front of the ship is a decent area for this cruise ship. Specifically it's placement at the very front and whether one could expect a fairly quiet evenings rest from 11pm until 6am. Looking at this cabin for 14 day Panama canal sailing from Los Angeles in 2018. Thanks in advance for any insight that you are able to provide
ColinIllinois Posted November 2, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2017 Take a look at the deck plans and see what is above and below that cabin.
fastpitchdad Posted November 2, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 2, 2017 You will be on the same level as O'Sheehan's which is definitely a plus :).
don't-use-real-name Posted November 2, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 2, 2017 Looking at the deck plans your location is right over back stage (Star Dust Theatre is on deck 6 & 7) so you may have to put up with action of the rigging during the shows and dress rehearsals midday. When the STAR is maneuvering in port you may hear some noise from the bow lines and thrusters being used. As for a smooth ride that could be a problem being as far forward as you are. With rough waves the bow may tend to ride up and down and over these waves causing a vibration or sort of shutter within the cabin (things moving around). Yes - You will be on the same level as O'Sheehan's which is definitely a plus - comfort food and drink 24/7 !
