Location Question

Before our January cruise, we will be staying for two nights at the Barbados Hilton. For all of you who have been to Barbados, is this an isolated location or are there pubs and restaurants walking distance? We will not be renting a car but are good walkers. I will appreciate any recommendation!! Thanks.
