Yes! I will do a review for sure. I don’t know why didn’t review the Dream the last time I was on the dream. But I do have some reviews of five or six other cruises we’ve been on. Love reading everybody’s experiences. :)

Tuesday, Day #3 (Sea Day - Halloween)

I'mmmmmm back!! Good afternoon everyone. Thanks to those that are following along. I've had a few issues with the review, but you know, as long as you can read it, and see the photos, that's really what counts, right?

So today is another of my favorite days cruising, Sea Day! My daughter came and got me, and we went walking again. With all the food and drinks we're consuming, we thought it would be a good idea to try and walk (we were fooling ourselves). It was a beautiful morning, sun shinning, and everyone in a great mood. After we walked, we went and got cleaned up and met everyone for brunch. I tried the chicken huevos rancheros, for the first time, and I thought it was great. We hit up the casino for a while after brunch, and then went and laid out in the warm sun. I'm sure we sound pretty boring right now, but it does get better.

After we laid out for a while, it was time to get dressed. Now it's Halloween, and we had already seen people dressed up since breakfast. I wasn't going wear my Halloween costume that early, but we decided that since other people were going to wear their costume for dinner we would do the same.

Now I have never been on a holiday "themed" cruise before, and I was really didn't know what to do about a costume. My daughter and I thought we would try and find a simple costume that wouldn't take up too much space in our luggage. Well, we came up with what I thought was a smart idea, but you be the judge when you see the pictures. Cynthia had a great costume as well, which I just loved. She really put some thought into it.

Our towel animal for the day. Mr. Lobster better be on the watch, because hubby will eat him up!

I have to admit that I really enjoyed Guys Burgers. My daughter didn't understand all the hype, and said it was just "okay" to her.

Enjoying the review! I live just south of Bham. As for the Enterprise, yeah I find most of them in Bham to be lazy. It's not just that one. We are going on the Dream end of April out of NOLA and driving to Mobile first, then getting up and heading to NOLA. My MIL lives in Mobile and it's cheaper to stay with her. Plus the weekend we leave is the jazz fest down in NOLA. Hotels are stupid expensive.

I wish I had family or friends in NOLA, because you're right, the hotels are STUPID expensive, and just way too high. I'm not paying $400 + for one night. However, they know that some people will do it. It's crazy, right?

Thanks for following, more to follow.

That's the end of Tuesday, Day 3 at sea. Hope you enjoyed following along, and remember to tune in, I have plenty more to share with you.

Pros: Dressing up for Halloween was fun, and I just loved seeing the little ones in their cute costumes. I would love to try another holiday sailing if we can do it.

Cons: Although I really enjoyed dressing up for Halloween, the parade wasn't until 10:30 or 11:00 pm that night. Now I know I'm on vacation, and I do stay up a little late, but none of us were able to make it that night and ended up missing the parade. Wish they had it a little earlier so that we could have joined in, but no biggie.

Great review! We go out on the Dream Sept 30 2018, so I'm excited to read detailed reviews - keep 'em comming :)

If you haven't been on the Dream, you're going to love it. It's a large ship with a lot to do.

Thanks for reading and following along.

LOVE the Crayon Costumes!! That's really clever!

We did the Halloween Cruise on the Breeze 2 yrs. ago and we had a blast. I couldn't believe how creative some of the guests were...it was so much fun!

By the way I don't think you're boring at all...you're my kind of cruisers! I like my time in the casino each day and like to relax and enjoy being pampered by the wonderful staff.

May I ask what browser and photo hosting site you're using? I'm writing a review as well and I can see my pics but nobody else can. Thanks in advance!

Hey there, good morning. I use Chrome as my browser and then I found Shutterfly for the photo hosting site. Shutterfly is user friendly for someone like me. Good luck, and I can't wait for your review to come out as well.

Tuesday, Day #4 (Montego Bay, Jamaica)

First let me start off by saying that I really enjoy all of your comments, and thanks for following along. Yesterday since I was off from work, I got up and started on this segment. For some reason it didn't save, and I lost everything. Oh well, I'll just start again, and hope it will save.

Montego Bay is the one port I had been looking to visit for quite a while. I have friends from Jamaica that have told me how wonderful it was visiting there, and I should go. Do you think I enjoyed Jamaica...well, you have to read on to find out.

As usual, Charmaine and I got up that Tuesday morning and did our routine walk as we were pulling into Montego Bay. We were scheduled to dock at 8:00 am, so after our walk, we decided to get everyone together for breakfast on the Lido Deck, and then we would leave. Cynthia was scheduled to do a tour, so she left first. Me, Michelle, and Charmaine were going to walk around, and John was staying in the cabin.

Once we left the ship, we found a cab/shuttle and Michelle told the lady in charge that we wanted to go to the Hip Strip in Montego Bay. They call it the Hip Strip because there are bars, clubs, and stores all on one street. We wanted to do some shopping, so Michelle thought this would be a great place for us to start. Once in the shuttle, the lady got up and said that they were going to take us on a tour of Montego Bay for $25.00 per person, which is NOT what we wanted. Michelle immediately spoke up and told the lady that's not what we wanted, and to drop us off at the Hip Strip. The ride to the Hip Strip was $7.00 per person, not bad, and we got out and started walking. Now we had been warned about pushy and aggressive store vendors, but I was NOT prepared for what we had to endure. The vendors would see us walking by and come out and ask us to come into the shops. There were several that came out and would put their arms around me, trying to lure me into their shops, which I did not like at all. Charmaine was getting a little upset with people touching me, and would tell them to take their hands off me. I can't blame her because really, people shouldn't be touching other people at all. Michelle found a shop she wanted to go in, and we all went in and looked around. Charmaine and I found two t-shirts for my grandchildren, and we asked how much they were. Now this is where it got weird. The two ladies working in the shop started whispering back and forth, and would come and say, " I give you good price, no worries momma". The next thing I knew, one lady had balled up the t-shirts, opened my bag, and placed them in the bag, and said "shhhh", it's good. Me, the good guy got scared and took the shirts out of my bag saying "I can't do that, what are you doing". In the meantime, I didn't see that Charmaine had gone to the counter and was actually paying for the shirts, but again, I didn't see that. I had assumed that the lady wanted me to steal the shirts, and I wasn't have any part of it. I was so upset, I walked out of the store and waited outside for Michelle and Charmaine. Charmaine came out with the bag, and told me she had paid for the shirts, but we both didn't understand what the ladies were trying to pull. I'm just glad I got out of there, and did not want to go back. I am not going to jail for t-shirts, or for anything. Even Charmaine said that the shop keepers were overly aggressive.

Montego Bay was not for us. Michelle is from Barbados and knew how to handle the aggressive shop keepers. First you do NOT look them in the eye. If you don't want to go into the shop, just keep walking. It's almost like you have to be rude for them to understand that you don't want to be bothered. We didn't have any other problems that day, but never again for me. I would not be going to Jamaica unless I have an excursion planned, or book an all inclusive beach resort for the day.

Once we were done shopping we started walking back to the port. We were getting hungry and one thing I know I did want to do was to have authentic Jamaican Jerk chicken for lunch. We didn't see any place except for Margaritaville, so we went in and got a table. Margaritaville is expensive, and I mean really expensive, but we were there and decided to have lunch. Charmaine and I shared an order of Jerk Barbque chicken, and we each got a watermelon margarita, which was delicious. Michelle ordered the Chicken Curry plate, and a drink, which I don't remember.

All in all, it was a decent day, but I don't have to do Jamaica ever again. I'm not use to dealing with aggressive people, and don't like it. Oh yeah, one more thing. Once we got back to the port and was walking to the ship, a man (vendor) approached me and put his arms around me trying to get me to purchase a pair of sunglasses. Mind you I had on prescription sunglasses, and he still approached me saying that I should buy his. What he didn't realize is that Charmaine was walking in back of me, and had enough of these strange people putting their hands on me. She came up and told him "what are you doing touching my mom, take your hands off her". He backed up, and we proceeded to the ship. I love my personal body guard, no one will bother me with Charmaine around (lol).

When we went to Jamaica a few years back a guy came up to me and started rubbing aloe all on my shoulders with my husband right there. I was like GET THE HECK OFF OF ME...I was very upset... We are going back there and thinking we are probably not getting off the ship. Nothing to see.. like you said very aggressive and expensive. I'd rather eat on the ship then pay to eat overpriced restaurants in Jamaica. Loving your thorough review. Thanks so much!!!!

so sorry your visit to Montego Bay was not pleasant - it's always been one of my favorite places - some of the cruise lines have quit going to Montego

Yeah, I wasn't liking Montego Bay, but if we do go back, I would do an all inclusive resort. Thanks for reading and following along.
