Does anyone know where the closest car rental is from the San Pedro port? Will they pick you up or do you have to take a cab? Thanks.:)

Enterprise is right across the street, dont think they will pick you up but you could call the office directly and ask.

 

Hertz and the like are in Long Beach (5 miles away).

Colo Cruiser - Would it be possible to actually walk over to Enterprise as you noted that is it across the street from where the ship docks?

Yes but if you have a lot of luggage it will be a major chore. Probably 1/2 mile. :)

Hello Again Colo Cruiser - I wouldn't have a whole lot of luggage -- but are there sidewalks or anything so that I could wheel my bags along or would I have to walk in the street or through grass and dirt? (I am used to handling my own luggage and when we leave from NY on Cunard, we just wheel our bags from Penn Station to the Pier.)

Mostly cicumventing the parking lot with all the taxi's etc and some parts of the road but I believe there are sidewalks. Might be a little bit of a trek but I would do it. You can see the ship from the rental office. Make sure you verify there hours though. :)

As an FYI, Enterprise in San Pedro has weird hours. I think they close at Noon on Saturdays and aren't open on Sundays. Make sure you double-check on that specific office and the times they're open before renting anything.
