cltnccruisers Posted December 7, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 7, 2017 We'll be on Silhouette in March and it looks like OSJ, St Thomas and St Maarten will all be recovered to the point of being on the itinerary. For St Thomas it is likely that we will dock at Crown Bay. We've been to Charlotte-Amalie before so we thought we might just stay near Crown Bay this time. Other than the rather unimpressive shops at the dock what else is in the area within walking distance? I thought a marina with shops and restaurants was nearby but darned if I can find anything. Thanks.

LeeW Posted December 7, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 7, 2017 Marina to the right has really good grocery with huge wine shop. End of that pier has the ferry over to Water Island. Take ferry, walk 100 yds straight ahead and slightly right downhill to Honeymoon Beach. You may have the whole beach to yourself. Restrooms and bar open weekends. Swann5 Posted December 8, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 8, 2017 If you are looking for a great beach close by, head to the Best Western Emerald Beach resort on Lindberg Bay. We rented chairs and an umbrella for the day and throughly enjoyed our day there.
