RCI Regularly offers Drinks / Grats to UK Cruisers (with inflated prices) as they know people from the UK are more likely to purchase a holiday with these things included, instead of having to buy them later.

That does make sense. I paid $1350-something a person for our balcony room and it's like ~$2300 now.

They do inflate the price but because they are very successful when the offer is finished and the ships are quite full they don't reduce the prices again.
