Photo Review Caribbean Princess Panama Canal (Nov 30 - Dec 10, 2017)

Late doing this review, when we got off on December 10th, CanadianBurger boarded and did an awesome Live Report. I didn’t see any reason to add another review while he was doing his live report. Everyone should check it out, I’ll have lots of photos but he did a great job with lots of details and lots of photos.

As the saying goes “A Picture is Worth 1000 Words” that holds true to my reviews. I kind of do a diary of what we did day to day (that part may be boring) and post photos from all areas of the ship. I may not have all the answers but if you have a question I’ll do my best…this our 14th cruise but only second on Princess.

I’ve already posted the Princess Patters from our Cruise in another thread Princess Patters Caribbean Princess Panama Canal (Nov 30 - Dec 10)

Hotel

We arrived a day early on November 29th, 2017 and stayed at the Embassy Suites on 17th Street. Loved the location and hotel amenities but furnishings could use an update. Also loved the view from the room balcony.

I know some people may not like hotel pre cruise photos but I would find these useful so I’ll add a few for those interested.

Day 1 November 30, 2017 - FLL

Woke up and didn’t see the Caribbean Princess from our Hotel balcony so we walked up to the bridge to take a closer look. We saw her coming in the distance and watched her arrive at about 8:30AM

Back to the hotel for the free Breakfast, it was very good. We left for the cruise port at about 10:30AM knowing we may board late since she didn’t arrive until 8:30. We took an Uber from the Embassy Suites to the cruise port, it cost $6.07 and only took a few minutes. We did need to hand our passports and boarding documents over to security before we could enter Port Everglades.

At the cruise port we checked in around 10:48AM and much to my surprise we were boarding at 12:08.

Obstructed Ocean View Room E515

Originally booked an inside cabin P319, about 3 weeks before the cruise got an email from Princess with a complimentary upgrade. They give you 48 hours to deny the upgrade if you don't want it. I really like the layout of this room. Electrical plugs were a bit awkward with everything we needed to plug in, did not see any European Plugs in the room. Even though we had a 4 port USB charger we had to use the extra plug behind the TV at night so we could charge everthing.

Again to my surprise the room was ready when we boarded, I was expecting a delay.

Looking out at the spa pool from inside lotus spa, this is an adults only pool and is available to everyone not just spa guests

Dinner tonight was in the Island Dining Room

Anytime dining Island Dining room, we went before 6PM…NOTE: anytime dining Island dining room before 7:30, Island and Coral after 7:30. Insane lineup at Island DR between 6-7:00PM.

Lou, always great to see another review from you. The photos as always are stellar. Great food shots from the Coral dining room.

Looking forward to the rest of your review!
