Walking from cruise terminal to Ft. De France

Does any one know how far it is from the Royal C cruise terminal to Fort De France?

Is it walk-able, or do we need to take transportation?

We were there in October 2017 on the Adventure of the Seas. It's easy walking distance into the city. Just walk off the ship and the very long pier and you are in the city.

Grandeur docked right in new port in downtown... but Jewel which was in port at the same time docked at industrial dock behind the Fortress
