Aim1 Posted January 6, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2018 Hello all, Parents are currently on the Arcadia which was in Ponta Delgada yesterday. They got in touch yesterday evening to say they were not sure exactly what had happened, but there had been some kind of accident/incident during a lifeboat drill. A lifeboat had fallen into the water with crew onboard. They had seen the damaged lifeboat and had heard the captain announce that five crew members had been injured, with four being taken care of in the ships medical facility and the fifth being taken to hospital on shore. They were delayed until midnight as they were waiting for an independent surveyor to join the ship and begin an investigation. My thoughts are with all the injured crew and hope they all make a full recovery!
