Rare Lionesss Posted January 8, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2018 High Posted a couple months back, but now more confused than ever. We see their is an Embassy suites, but do not know if it is in a good location for walking, sight seeing, and dining. Is this hotel located where it would be easy to access transportation to port, either cab, Uber or whatever. Any hotel experience you enjoy, please share. We are Hilton, Hampton, and Embassy loyal, but flexible for a good location. Thanks
CruiserBruce Posted January 8, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2018 The Hilton is nice, in a reasonable location for all of downtown Seattle if you don't have mobility issues. Pretty good lounge if a Diamond or buy a Lounge level room. Have several stays upcoming there. Walkable to Pier 66.
ransrider Posted January 8, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 8, 2018 Explorer will depart from pier 91 and will require transportation to get to from downtown. We stay at the Doubletree Seattle Airport and use the wonderful public transportation system for sightseeing prior to cruising. We then will either Uber ($32 per car, 2 passengers one way) or use Seattle Express Shuttle ($15 per person one way) to get to port. Happy cruising. travaustralia Posted January 8, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 8, 2018 We are going to stay at Sumner, have a hire car. Is it better to return the car to Seatac, or to the depot in Seattle itself. Will the traffic be really busy on a Friday, around 11am? Does Alamo shuttle us from the city to Pier 91? I am worried about returning the car to the airport, then getting to the ship. I gather the Seattle shuttle does not pick up from the airport. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
