sassyredhat Posted January 9, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2018 We will on Oahu in Oct. 2018 for our 4th Hawaii cruise. We have seen many places, but the Boyodo-In temple was a favorite. Any ideas about how to get there without taking a ships tour or a private tour or a bus.?? We have seen everything on the ship's tour, and we only want to go to the temple I have limited stamina and need to save some energy for our luau later that night. :D Patti
pizzalady1 Posted January 9, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2018 Rent a car for the day or hire a taxi service?
trish1c Posted January 9, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2018 I too think renting a car will be your best bet. A taxi or Uber will probably be cost prohibitive.
cccole Posted January 9, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 9, 2018 You might try putting the departure and arrival addresses in your Uber app to see what the cost would be. And, if you have not used Uber or Lyft they often offer 50% off the first ride. I always calculate the cost of an Uber/taxi vs a rental car by adding the cost of gas and the time it takes to pick up and drop off a rental car. Hope you are able to enjoy the temple and gardens again. Cherie
wharf rat Posted January 10, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 10, 2018 Perhaps get the city bus to as close as you can get, then getting a taxi the rest of the way? It is a most beautiful place to see and spend some quiet time.
