globetrotter212 Posted January 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2018 Hey all, I'm considering a 5 night on the Majesty of the Seas with an overnight in Havana for later this year. I was wondering if I buy a wifi package, will I be able to access it on the ship while we are docked in Havana? I know that Cuba severely censors the internet but are cruise ships affected by this? Biker19 Posted January 10, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 10, 2018 The internet connection on the ship will not be connecting via any Cuban ISP - will stay directly connected via sat. No effect from where the ship is docked.

Havingfun2010 Posted January 10, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 10, 2018 If you decide to use data on your phone, and are an ATT customer, you can use the data as you go. However, it is not part of the $10.00 a day deal, most other countries have. I used it for "mapping" as I walked around. The data connection was "poor" at most areas in town. I did not use WiFi on the ship, mostly because I have no need to be checking in every 5 minutes when I'm on vacation. I use my phone/data as a tool, to find places, mapping, etc.
