Single parent traveling documentation

I am a single adopted father of 2 boys 8 and 10, what kind of documents do I need to bring except the passports? Do I need to bring the adoption decree with me to show that I am the only parent?

Last year me and the boys went to Europe and I brought the adoption decree with me but TSA or UK customs did not ask for it.

US Customs and Carnival Cruise highly recommends that you have some documentation showing that you are allowed to take your children without the other parents permission.

you have that in the adoption papers . It would be real foolish not to take them with you unless they weigh so much that your luggage is over 50 pounds because of these heavy documents.

They very very very very rarely ask for it but since it weighs about 5grams...

why wouldn't you?
