The only benefits we have ever gotten (have done this for a couple years) are free valet parking, front of line buffet, and a choice of one perk

Similar experience. We have had had mlife gold and platinum over the years based on actual visits to mlife properties in Vegas. Not through rccl, x, or hyatt status match.

Room comps are generated by casino gaming play. Most of our spend is room/meal related. While this advances tier status (very few tangible perks, even platinum), our offers are rare and minimal at best because we gamble little. Keep in mind we are in Vegas 18+ nights a year, have stayed(big spend),and gambled(minimally) at Bellagio. Never once been offered a comp.

Paid self and valet parking(big benefit for long stays or property hopping), Taxi line(occasionally helpful) valet priority(frequently helpful)are biggest perks. The "upgrade" is usually to a better view if at all. Longer stays are less likely to get an "upgrade", in our experience.

However, if you have casino play, your experience may be very different.

Straight up status match or room/meal spend only? You'll likely get a tier level discount on rooms (10 to 20 pct).

The published perks may sound only so so, but trust me they're better than that. We had several free comp nights at the Aria just before Christmas due to our status (Gold at the time because we are Elite). We then hit Elite Plus so upgraded to Platinum. I'm currently sitting at the Las Vegas airport after using 3 free nights at the MGM Grand. We have more free nights at Bellagio, Mirage, Aria, Luxor, etc. to use with very very little blackout dates. We spend a good amount of money eating out and drinking on the property but we are not huge huge gamblers.

Get your MLife account set up and linked and keep an eye on the comp nights and promotions. Each of our comp bookings also came with at least $50 in food and bev credit plus some play credit here and there.

Paul, you got lucky or you must play a fairly good amount. If you didn't play it's likely this won't ever happen again.

In the "for what it's worth" department, those who got Mlife Gold thru Celeb. Elite status: some properties will do status match--For example, if you happen thru Atlantic City, with your Mlife card you ought to be able to match into TotalRewards @ Caesers, Ballys or Harrahs at the Diamond level...you then have access to free nights in AC &Vegas just about daily (during the weekdays) , with the quality of the property varying. I don't know but i assume that AC properties are more generous with status match than you might find things in Vegas, but once you have it, you've at least got a year to enjoy!

We've also received some pretty great comps at Gold level while down in Vegas, but that may have been based on play and not the tier matching. The tier matching does bring your nightly rate down even if you don't gamble at all but their offers that give out comps are usually based on your play ... or maybe a combination of them both.

Once you sign up on the Mlife website, click on your 'offers' icon and see what is connected to your account. And also, check your emails ... don't simply dismiss them ... sometimes there are some great offers there as well.

The offers were a bit better when the economy was lagging but you never know when a great offer will come your way. Early June or later in July / August usually produce some great offers ... that is, if you can handle that extreme heat!

What heat? The temperature is always the same in the Casino ;)

Mike

That's true and that is where I hang out when I go in the summer months. Maybe I will hit the pool super early in the morning or later after the sun has gone down ... otherwise, I know all the ways the casinos are connected by indoor passage and if they aren't, all the shortest routes to get from one air conditioned building to the next ...hahaha!

Just found out today that AT PRESENT you cannot get the "usual" discount offered for booking Celebrity cruises with your M-Life membership; they don't have "contract" for 2018 YET.

A friend tried to book an august cruise this morning and he was told of above fact

Too bad. :(

On the other side of the coin, Mandalay Bay, the Delano and Luxor just sent out some comped room offers today. We were just there for New Years, though, and so those offers might have been based on play.

Does anyone have a list of on cruise benefits for each of the M Life levels? I can't find a list of these anywhere. Are there any perks for members below the gold level? Thank you!

I have experienced the same issue..i am with Casino Royale and MLife (both earned status, not reciprocal). I also thought the OBC was a benefit of status, regardless of how u booked with RC. It is a promotion offer to get MLife gamblers to start cruising. I am loyal to both brands and don’t get the benefits of a new customer. Sad.

Interesting email my mom received this week: spend three nights at the MGM Grand (for free, no minimum casino spend) and get a free Royal Caribbean cruise. This is based on her MLife level, and they probably didn’t check her Blue Chip Club level (Royal ships not for her). So cross promotion continues.

We get MLife gold strictly based on our Elite level. About the only benefit we use is the free parking. Makes it worthwhile to us. Oh and you have to re verify each year. Last time we were there we had to call up My Celebrity and show them my status.

I also received this offer. I wouldn’t travel to Las Vegas to pick it up. However, if MGM National Harbor has the offer, I would drive 25 minutes to pick it up.
