sloperate Posted January 17, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2018 Is it possible to sell a ticket to a cruise that you may not be able to use?
hawkeyetlse Posted January 17, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2018 Not really. It's like trying to sell an airplane ticket. It's only valid for the person whose name is on it. They can do name changes, but if you change all the names on your cruise booking, that's basically a cancellation and then they start all over with the new passengers. So there would be no advantage for someone to take over your booking as opposed to just starting from scratch by themselves. There may be some special circumstances in your situation, if you care to give more details.
sanger727 Posted January 18, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2018 I believe that one person on the original booking must remain on the reservation but you can change the names of other passengers. So if you want to switch out people you should be able to. If no one from the original reservation wants to go at all; it probably won’t work. I’ve not done name changes after final payment but my TA told me it would be possible.
