I've often seen here people suggesting that we ignore the "deals" and just look at the price. Fair enough in that I'llmake my decision based on price, but I still call it dishonest when they change the starting point to make it seem a better deal that's no better.

Agreed. I guess it's a matter of being more diligent when deals are available
