lbtnewcruiser Posted January 28, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2018 Looking to travel from Orlando Airport to hotel near Port Canaveral, group of 4, want to keep the cost down for both transportation plus hotel. CruiserBruce Posted January 28, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 28, 2018 A little reading down the board would reveal many recommendations for shuttles (like Cortran) or renting a car and staying near the port.
SteerageJoe Posted January 28, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 28, 2018 My best advice is to NOT worry about transportation at this time. You biggest expense will be the hotel so you have to pick one either in Orlando or closer to the Port. What r you looking for in a hotel and budget? Preferably closer to Port, 4 of us so most likely King and pullout, clean and reasonable. I've been spoiled with a Marriott discount that I no longer get. Also something where we can walk to dinner
andream0423 Posted January 29, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 29, 2018 I've stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on Atlantic Avenue in Cocoa Beach before, it's about 7 minutes from the cruise port. I used cocoa beach shuttle to the hotel, then to the cruise port amd then from the cruise port to the airport. JohninDC Posted January 29, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 29, 2018 Lots of hotels near MCO meet your requirements (look at all of the hotels north of MCO on TG Lee); you could rent a car one way and drop it off the morning of your cruise, or use one of the popular shuttles for about $20 per person. Depending upon your arrival time we prefer to stay in Orlando and then head to PC the morning of the cruise. Your call! :)
jonbiz1212 Posted January 29, 2018 #7 Share Posted January 29, 2018 https://www.goportcanaveral.com they've partnered with hotels and have remodeled the way they handle transportation to make all in one packages for a really good price. I've always had great experiences with them.
heatheranderson13 Posted January 30, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 30, 2018 Rent a one way rental. Cheapest and easiest :). We do it each time. We have 4 and pay 50$ for a car rental vs 100$ or more for shuttles. We are staying in Orlando this time as it is much cheaper however last time we stayed at one of the hotels farther away 10 min drive max to port. Great location and easy to get to port and u save tons of money Sent from my iPhone using Forums

cruiseapril Posted January 30, 2018 #10 Share Posted January 30, 2018 We usually take a shuttle from Orlando airport to Port Canaveral and stay at the Radisson. We eat at the place next door.
