kenorus Posted January 31, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 31, 2018 Does anyone know if you go by shiptime or island time. Just seeing if the ship is coming into aruba at 7 like it says. Not 8 as we are 1 hour ahead here in aruba.
floridalover5623 Posted January 31, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 31, 2018 On a cruise the only thing that's important is ship time.
lstone19 Posted January 31, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 31, 2018 Princess normally (as in every Princess cruise I’ve been on) adjusts ship time to local time of the port. So if it says 7am, that should mean 7am local time of the port. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Jersey42 Posted February 1, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 1, 2018 Last week on the Royal, the ship time matched local time. At least in the Caribbean, Princess does it this way virtually all of the time.
janert Posted February 1, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 1, 2018 Princess uses local time.
jennybenny Posted February 1, 2018 #8 Share Posted February 1, 2018 When going ashore, remaining on ship time or local time is up to the discretion of the Captain. I have been on Princess cruises that have had different than local time. It's a pain when you have a smart phone that auto adjusts. You could remove that auto adjust mode, but often forget to move it back.
