momrnc Posted February 11, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2018 We don't do coffee....but a little Diet Mountain Dew daily keeps the headaches away. In the past, we have taken a few 16oz bottled sodas in our carry on. I read today no BOTTLES, but do they mean plastic or just glass? It says cans are allowed but not sure how those go through customs and such. Anyone still take plastic bottle drinks?
Rare sparks1093 Posted February 11, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 11, 2018 The only thing that can be in a bottle is wine and each adult over 21 is allowed 750ML. Soda, water and other beverages need to be in cans. It has nothing to do with what the bottles are made of, but rather what people put into them. You don't need to worry about customs until the end of the cruise and you should put your cans in your carryon to go through security (if the cans are in cartons be prepared for security to open the boxes to check them). teknoge3k Posted February 11, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 11, 2018 Exactly what sparks says. You do not go through Customs to embark a ship. Only when you come back to the US. Each human in your cabin can carry a 12pk case of canned sodas with them.
