buffy24 Posted February 13, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 13, 2018 If your ship is in port from 8am to 6pm, do they open the main dining room for breakfast any earlier than 7:30? Are their any other breakfast options on port days besides the main dining room, the lido and room service? Thanks!
lcpagejr Posted February 13, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 13, 2018 When we cruised on the Vista.... It was inconsistent.... for the 3 port days.....7am, 7:30am and 8am??? Weird. But its open in a 2 hr window. The taste Bar area (Ocean Plaza area) has a light breakfast buffet, with hot dishes.... but none of these(including the buffet) open prior to 7am
springs741 Posted February 13, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 13, 2018 Times seem to be ship and port specific. There was a two hour window at each port. Check that fun times.

coevan Posted February 14, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2018 The MDR breakfast ended at 9, too early for us. We had 9 room service, coffee, fruit and danish and then go to the Lido for eggs around 10.
salty dingo Posted February 14, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 14, 2018 Don't know if it is still around, but I have been on cruises where there was an "early riser" buffet on the lido. It was mostly coffee and danish, and was before the MDR or main buffets are open. If you are the type to get up early to watch the arrival into port, there should be some food available. Also, I would not be in a huge hurry to get off the ship as soon as they open the gangway. It's more relaxing to wait a half hour or so and let the eager beavers hurry away first.
