Garich Posted February 14, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2018 Does it work? What happens if you get there early?
chrysalis Posted February 14, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2018 it is only a suggestion....you don't really have to wait for your assigned time
paul929207 Posted February 14, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 14, 2018 The Progressive checkin is a suggestion by Princess. It is not mandatory. They are trying to reduce the lines by getting more people to arrive later.
floridalover5623 Posted February 14, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2018 You'll board the ship as you normally would. No one is turned back because it not their scheduled time to board.
satxdiver Posted February 15, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 15, 2018 Like so many things with Princess, it merely is a suggestion. Funny thing was when we boarded the Ruby in Seattle last August. There were only 53 elite aboard and an equal number of platinum. Well over 2000 were first time cruisers on Princess and they believed the progressive checkin. For a long time after being the first to board it appeared the ship was not sold out. We later not only learned it was sold out but that there were over 200 rugrats aboard! I almost felt like I was on a carnival ship. I learned to be more careful when booking but we had our DGD along and she had to get back to start school.
