janecambridge Posted February 14, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2018 On our recent Marina cruise,we took advice from posts on here and did the art tour around the ship. How many times have we just wandered from A to B and not looked at the art.We are not art buffs by any means, but thoroughly enjoyed actually looking seriously at the wonderful art aboard. Our favourite was the Daniel Q.Adel oil on canvas. These are sheets covering statues and are displayed in the Grand dining room. Look too at all the Picasso’s in and around the casino.

It has taken me seven cruises on the “O” ships to appreciate at all Daniel Adel’s Fold series in the Grand Dining Rooms of Marina and Riviera. Originally I dismissed the linens as overly spooky; now I appreciate the simple beauty of the drapery and what it both reveals and hides. My favorite works this cruise onboard Riviera from January 23 through February 6 remain the many Wilfredo Lam works, found mostly in the Grand Bar corridor leading to the Grand Dining Room.
