Checking In, & Staggered Boarding...

How soon ahead of time can you do the online check in for a cruise? It's been a couple of years since we've cruised, and I can't remember. Do you have to pay the full balance of the cruise first, or can you check in after just having made the deposit? Also, at what point can you pick the boarding time? We will be on the Dream out of New Orleans in September. Thanks!

I was able to do check in and select my boarding time prior to paying in full. I booked about 100 or so days out from my sailing.

Online check-in can be done as soon as you pay your deposit if you wish.

There will be a button on your "My Cruise Manager" page to pick your Arrival Appointment. When times are available to pick a button will appear on that page. We sail in December and it's not available yet so I continue to check every 2 or 3 days.

You should see if you can pick check in time now. If not keep watching . You certainly don't have to py in full. There's no need to fill out all the info now but you can if you want. I wait until we pay in full as there's no rush for that.

On Carnival web site it says you can choose an arrival appointment on all cruise that are six months out.
