Underwatr Posted February 23, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2018 I hope someone can give me a quick answer or two: We're in the Fort Lauderdale area now, boarding Eurodam on Sunday. I got a good deal renting a car from Hertz, picking up and returning at FLL airport. Logistically I think it would be a good idea to head to the cruise port to drop off our checked bags before returning the car. This would reduce the number of times we have to load & unload bags from transport modes. Is this going to be feasible or will I spend a lot of time in a row of cars? Probably we'll be there 12:30-1:00 PM. I know there will be a lot of ships in port at once. I assume the signs make it easy to figure out which ship is where, right? Any other problems with my plan? tomko2 Posted February 23, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2018 From the information on the Port of Everglades website under Ship Schedule, the Eurodam will be at Pier 19 on Sunday. If you do decide to drop off your luggage and then take your rental car back to the Airport be sure to bring all your cruise documentation and Passports with you. You will need the documentation to re-enter the Port. The directions to each Pier are easy to follow once you at in the Port. You might also want to look at the map of the Port on the POE website. Hope this helps.
Underwatr Posted February 23, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted February 23, 2018 Yeah, I read about that poor couple who left their passports inside their checked bags and ended up missing the ship when they couldn't be retrieved in time. I hand carry all of our paperwork from the moment we leave home!
