When to book for November cruise

When should I book for a November cruise? Is it best to book now or wait for a price cut? Any experience/advice would be great.
I travelled on Galaxy in Dec 99 for 10th anniversary and now it is time for 15th, and a cruise sounds like fun. I am thinking of the Constelation.

I would book as soon as possible. You can always get credit if price drops, but at least you know you will get the cabin you want on the ship you want when you want. Your deposit is refundable until the time that your final payment is due. Then the penalties start. Also, just make sure that any agency you use has no other fees/penalties. If you book direct that is not an issue.

I wouldn't hold out for a price drop. It depends so much on how booked your cruise is. Our two cruises so far have been in November. We booked late (six and eight weeks before) and ended up in great cabins, but I would say if the price is right, go for it now. Do a bit of homework on the cabin and as said previously, watch for any price reductions once you have booked.

The later you leave it, the less choice you will have unless a particular cabin frees up.

NOW!!! Celebrity will is really good, if th price drops you can get the lower price and if price drops after final payment, usually its shipboard credit. Just make sure whoever you book with, allows this, as some agencies, even if the price drops will no pass it on to the customer

We booked a sky suite in January 2004 for our May cruise and the price didn't go down - it increased $350 per person by the time of the cruise. Our ship was filled to capacity - you have to be careful if you are waitting for a price drop because it may never come.

I would book now, I know the first two sailings out of Galveston in November are booked, at least the November 1st sailing is completely booked and the 13th has limited cabins. These have been very popular cruises since it is the first time Celebrity is out of Galveston.

We booked our Jan '05 cruise in Feb. of this year and the price of our cabin has gone up $300 since then. A recent article in the travel section of our newspaper said that prices are going up now for cruises rather than down and not to expect as many last minute deals as have been available in the past. So I would book now. Plus if you wait you take the chance of having a very limited choice of cabin.

I just booked a couple of weeks ago for Thanksgiving - granted that's a holiday week - but all the insides & outside were all booked up. I would check availability by searching on a site like Travelocity to see how many cabins are available. Or, if you have a good TA, they can check it out for you. Sometimes you can get awesome last minute deals, but then you have to contend with last minute flight schedules and such. I tend to book early to get what I want.

I agree...NOW!! I am uncomfortable if I haven't booked 9-12 months in advance.
