BTromboneFrack Posted July 3, 2018 #26 Share Posted July 3, 2018 Sounds like you are on the same cruise as us!!! We make our cruise special by upgrading to a balcony and we always look for the aft wraps. Its always our anniversary at Christmastime so our first night is always at the steakhouse and we get the wine discount. Its great to bring it back to the room for the rest of the trip (along with that which we brought on board). Breakfast on the balcony is great and watching the sunset on the last night with one of our bottles of wine always is our signature end to the trip. Tons of little memories make for a great trip. Enjoy!!!
spleenstomper Posted July 3, 2018 #27 Share Posted July 3, 2018 (edited) Bring a tablecloth for the MDR on night when they don't have them. That’s funny, Most fine dining restaurants in NOLA don’t use table cloths any more. It’s passé. My guess is you don’t eat out regularly at fine dining restaurants. RenoNanaOz Posted July 3, 2018 #28 Share Posted July 3, 2018 Enjoy your time together, eating, laughing, people watching or whatever you enjoy doing together. No work, no phones, no house cleaning or cooking!! Try to go to the Cooking Demo, if you like that kind of thing. Trivia is always good for some laughs. Just relax and don't sweat the small stuff;)

Shaded Lady Posted July 4, 2018 #30 Share Posted July 4, 2018 Check out the art auction... we do, even though we haven't bought anything from them in 20 years! But it's really fun to hear the descriptions of the pieces and see other cruisers get excited about them, and start bidding! Plus there's the topnotch champagne they serve you! We enjoy just finding a quiet spot out of the way to sit and people-watch, chat with each other... all those things we never find the time to do back home. Doggielover68 Posted July 5, 2018 #31 Share Posted July 5, 2018 No need to do anything special. The cruise itself is special and in my opinion, it is best to not overthink it. :) Sent from my iPad using Forums
