Cigar Dude Posted March 6, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 6, 2018 The last time we were in Curacao we went to Blue Bay Resort. Is that still a popular beach spot? Can you still do a day pass there? Are there any others you would recommend? Thanks.
bup1224 Posted March 7, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 7, 2018 Blue Bay resort is still popular and you can still just go for the day. Mambo beach in the east is also fun beach bar, lots of restaurants, if you don't want to venture to the West Punt area Sent from my SM-G920V using Forums mobile app

Arzeena Posted March 12, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 12, 2018 What is the cost of the Blue Bay Beach resort day pass? Last time we went it was $8 per person. Included entry, lounge chair and umbrella. Food and drinks you had to pay for whatever you consume. It wasn't a resort like a "hotel resort", it was a private beach for the Blue Bay residential development, part of which has a hotel on site and most are residences. Brangwen Posted March 15, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 15, 2018 We're still debating between Blue Bay and Kokomo. Not a lot of info on Kokomo on here but it sure looks pretty on TripAdvisor (and good reviews): https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g147278-d2588055-Reviews-Kokomo_beach_Curacao-Willemstad_Curacao.html
cruiseapril Posted March 23, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 23, 2018 Blue Bay is a good beach- snorkeling gear went with the fee a few years ago. Some coral on the beach.
DaisyandSika Posted March 25, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 25, 2018 We were at Blue Bay a few days ago. It was $8 each and included a chair, use of their restrooms, change rooms, and restaurant and bar. I would recommend water shoes, as it's a bit rocky and some coral. A few fish around and saw many with snorkel gear. I would also get there early. A few bus tours came after we arrived. It was quite full when we left at noon. Can I ask what it cost? About how long of ride was it? Thanks. Edited March 27, 2018 by Denise Ann Added info

It was $30 one way for 4 people. I didn't check my watch, but I would say about 20 minute ride.

DaisyandSika Posted April 12, 2018 #12 Share Posted April 12, 2018 There are some thatched roof coverings, and a few parachute fabric shade coverings tied between trees. No moveable umbrellas that I recall seeing. Hope this helps!

Very laid back and relaxed atmosphere. Cigar/cigarette friendly as well.:cool:
