Cozumel or Roatan for More Active Excursion

We are going on a cruise in about a month to both Cozumel & Roatan. Which port is better to just relax on the beach and possibly snorkel? Which one is better to do an activity (sight seeing or adventure)? We are already going to the ruins in Belize on the same trip.

 

Any suggestions would be great.

Lots of good beach clubs and lots of good snorkeling on Cozumel. :cool:

Roatan is much better for snorkeling as the reefs are so much more shallow and close to shore.

Both have great beaches but Roatan has great snorkeling. We have visited via cruise and stayed in the island two separate weeks. Snorkel from shore in West Bay and take the water taxi or regular taxi to West End and snorkel at Half Moon Bay. We love Roatan!
