2Xayear Posted December 27, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2005 We are a group of 4 arriving in FLL April 21st, looking for an inexpensive and clean hotel for the night. Now in the past we have used the Wyndham but $180 a night for only a few hours sleep was pricey. We arrive after dinner and will be leaving after breakfast for the cruise ship, so fancy is not a requirement. Any suggestions from past cruisers? Bequia Posted December 27, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 27, 2005 We are a group of 4 arriving in FLL April 21st, looking for an inexpensive and clean hotel for the night. Inexpensive & clean, try one of these 17th Street hotels just minutes from the airport and Port Everglades: Holiday Inn Express... http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ex/1/en/hd/fllcc Extended Stay America... http://www.extendedstayamerica.com/...ter-marina.html AmeriSuites... http://amerisuites.com/reservations....asp?facid=3929
beachlovergirl Posted December 27, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 27, 2005 I'd suggest Extended Stay America... http://www.extendedstayamerica.com/h...er-marina.html This hotel gets high marks on these boards........very clean and reasonable....should be around $90 per night for Apr 21st. 2Xayear Posted December 27, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted December 27, 2005 WOW...thanks for the FAST responses!! One more question...which of the locations would be the best? Deerfield Beach, Cypress Creek, Convention Centre-Marina or Plantation.
Bequia Posted December 27, 2005 #5 Share Posted December 27, 2005 Convention Center - Marina would be the best location. Walkable to shops, restaurants etc and minutes from the port. ;)
2Xayear Posted December 27, 2005 Author #6 Share Posted December 27, 2005 This board never ceases to amaze me!!! Many thanks everyone...booked into the Extended Stay America. Rates good and it's certainly close enough to the airport and Port Everglades. Happy New Year!!

gann Posted December 31, 2005 #12 Share Posted December 31, 2005 We stayed at Amerisuites this month and were well pleased with the Hotel. Had new carpet in room and was clean. Had to leave for airport before breakfast was served so didn't get to try it. The van took us to the river taxi and came back to get us when we called. Think you will like it. TrentS Posted January 2, 2006 #14 Share Posted January 2, 2006 AmeriSuites has shuttles, but Extended Stay America and Holiday Inn Express "Convention Center" are much nicer hotels! They're all in the same general location, all less than 10 minutes from FLL, and just outside the entrance to Port Everglades. Shuttles are NEVER a reason to book a hotel, taxis are plentiful and inexpensive, and in many cases the shuttles are so overcrowded and have such long lines on cruise days that you'll end up taking a taxi anyway! If you want to stay at AmeriSuites book it through one of the discount sites such as Valuetrips... http://www.valuetrips.com/AMS/FL/F17.htm
