First time in Europe.. traveling with a teen

its just me and my 14 year old son. I’ve done 14 Caribbean cruises and always do private excursions. Was going to do Carnival excursions for our first European cruise (I know, the costs are crazy) because I was a bit fearful but looking to maybe just do it, private tour companies. Looking to do leaning tower of Pisa, Vatican and coliseum in Rome and Pompeii when in Naples. Please put my mind at ease!!
