sewut Posted March 29, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 29, 2018 We booked a cruise last January that was 2 years out and I put it in the Carnival Hub app to watch the countdown. Now we've booked a cruise for next year. Is there a way to update to show the new cruise countdown?
Organized Chaos Posted March 29, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 29, 2018 Tap and hold on the countdown clock for a couple seconds, then release. You should get the option to reset the countdown date or quit the countdown. On iPhone, at least. If that doesn't work, just uninstall/reinstall. sewut Posted March 29, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted March 29, 2018 It worked! Thanks.
Organized Chaos Posted March 29, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 29, 2018 No problem, glad I could help. To be honest, I just figured it out when I read your question. I was all set to tell you just to uninstall/reinstall, but figured I'd try a couple things first. Learned something new myself. :) I also realized that you don't even have to tap & hold. Just tapping one of the numbers (or between them) brings up the option.
rusty0113 Posted June 12, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 12, 2018 How do you put a countdown in the Hub app? Everything I try tells me to connect to Carnival WiFi.
cruisinqt Posted June 12, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 12, 2018 How do you put a countdown in the Hub app? Everything I try tells me to connect to Carnival WiFi. It’s probably still set to the last cruise you were on. Just go to settings and log out. Once you’ve logged out of the old cruise the countdown clock should show up. Just enter your sail date and the countdown clock should start working.
rusty0113 Posted June 12, 2018 #7 Share Posted June 12, 2018 WOW!!! Thank you. It was just that easy. Now I just hope I remember my password when it comes time to connect to Carnival.
rpyne Posted June 12, 2018 #8 Share Posted June 12, 2018 From what I can see, the Carnival Hub app is pretty useless until you are on board. There are several other cruise apps that actually give you useful information about your itinerary and ports of call. Take a look at Ship Mate. teknoge3k Posted June 12, 2018 #9 Share Posted June 12, 2018 WOW!!! Thank you. It was just that easy. Now I just hope I remember my password when it comes time to connect to Carnival. There is no password. When you get on the ship you connect to Carnivals wifi then put in your portfolio number into the app and you're in. ;)
rusty0113 Posted June 12, 2018 #10 Share Posted June 12, 2018 Yes. I have had Shipmate for years. I love it. There is so much info on that app.
Garth2 Posted June 13, 2018 #11 Share Posted June 13, 2018 You can also change your picture, if you have 1, or add a picture if you don't, also by tapping on it.
sailing~wench Posted February 1, 2019 #12 Share Posted February 1, 2019 i was just having this issue since i just booked another cruise for 2021 on the Mardi gras - u dont have to uninstall but u do have to log out and log back in the ur other sail date to see that countdown. i think carnival needs to come up with a way for u to be able to see both without having to log out and back in every time because thats a pain in the butt
