PCWalton1 Posted April 20, 2018 Author #351 Share Posted April 20, 2018 After that we took a train to the markets. The first market was a local market where you could buy most household items Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S8 using Tapatalk
PCWalton1 Posted April 20, 2018 Author #352 Share Posted April 20, 2018 Final stop was a goldfish market before heading back to the shop. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S8 using Tapatalk
PCWalton1 Posted April 20, 2018 Author #353 Share Posted April 20, 2018 I forgot to say that the dish on the left are chicken's feet and they were very tasty. Marie tried them and I ate two. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S8 using Tapatalk

chookie65 Posted April 20, 2018 #355 Share Posted April 20, 2018 Well that was a new one for me. In Windjammer the gentleman (actually that does not apply) at the next table was flossing, then just left the floss on the table. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S8 using Tapatalk That is gross! Tel1208 Posted April 20, 2018 #356 Share Posted April 20, 2018 Finally managed to catch up on all the posts. It's been absolutely wonderful reading about your days and seeing all the beautiful photos (I always forgot to take photos on my travels). Enjoy the rest of your holiday! travelgoddess1 Posted April 20, 2018 #357 Share Posted April 20, 2018 Bill, did you get to ride the Star Ferry? It cost 5 cents back in the 80's. Hopefully it is still a bargain! Thank you for the photos of the Peninsula Hotel. I love that hotel (but never stayed there) and used to have breakfast there on layovers -- the orange crepe pancakes were delightful! Good times. Loved the photos of the two different temples. Your photos capture the color and ambiance of Hong Kong very well.

PCWalton1 Posted April 20, 2018 Author #359 Share Posted April 20, 2018 It's late but I am going to pay now as I will be lazy tomorrow. We just spent another 4 hours with Apple that may have been the best tour yet. We left the terminal and took the free shuttle to the train station. More time and money for cruising! Did your tour take you up to Victoria Peak? Kind of touristy but an amazing view.

I will try to figure out how to post the video but I swear everyone was talking at the same time so it was the loudest restuarant I have ever been to. PCWalton1 Posted April 21, 2018 Author #374 Share Posted April 21, 2018 Ok so it is tradition here that the youngest at the table is responsible for certain things, ensuring the dishes are clean before eating, serving the tea or other drinks. Since Apple was the youngest she was responsible for ensuring our glasses were full but more important that the dishes/silverware were clean before eating. So when they put the dishes/silverware on the table they also left a pitcher of hot tea that Apple used to wash everything before we ate.
