Alcohol for storage at embarkation

Hi all

I tried searching the boards but nothing came up. We embark today but have already been on vacation for a week. We’ve purchased some souvenir alcohol (chocolate wine and beer) and were hoping it could be stored by the ship like you would if you bought some in port.... do you think this is possible? Thanks!!

When you go through embarkation declare the alcohol and explain the situation of why you have it with you. They should confiscate it and store it safely until disembarkation . If you try to "sneak " it on they may not return it to you .

There is also a slim chance they may let you take it on board with you. But don't count on that. We purchased rum in one of the ports fully expecting to have it taken to the holding room, however the security man waved it through and we took it to our cabin. I don't know if this is standard practice , but this was our experience .
