Excursion Mistakes and Good People Still Exist

I really want to take a moment to share a Shore Excursion experience with you all as an inspiration.

 

I can't say how many ship excursions we have been on, but it's been a lot.

 

We were shifted to Belize City following a last minute change of initnerary and we ended up leaving our snorkel gear under the bench seat that we were on after returning to Belize City from a snorkel trip excruion out to the reef. Amazing by the way!!!

 

We were on the tender ferry back to the ship when I realized that the gear was not with us, we had the two bags with our stuff and towels but not the mesh bag with the snorkel and masks.

 

My husband was an optimist and suggested that the excrursion folks would find it and bring it to the security group at the pier and tell them this was left behind. I was so touched by his optimism since I was thinking ask the tour company how much to ship back to the US from Beilze if they located it and then we can decide if worth the cost. :o

 

Went to Guest Relations on Board to discuss, with hope, a lost and found issue and by the time we were at Guest Relations relaying this event, the Tour Company had already gotten the items over to the the Security Staff at the Tender Pier. They went an extra step to get this to Security and back to us and easily could have not bothered. Could have called us dopes and sorry for ya.

 

The gear was coming back to us because they cared....How great was that??? I'm thinking pretty great. ;)

We thought the people we met in Belize City were great - so great you didn’t lose your snorkel gear.

 

We left a camera behind in New Zealand, wish we our driver had been as attentive as yours, $200 in postage & duties to get it back
