Nu Camp Football Stadium at Barcelona

We are cruising on Indy in August with our grandchildren. They are desperate to visit the football stadium Nou Camp in Barcelona . I don’t think there will be an excursion from the ship. Has anyone done this before? If so how? Will it be feasible in the time the ship is in Port and would we have to book a tour in advance.

When we were on Independance of the Seas there was a Nou Camp excursion offered. My husband and son in law went on it and we're very pleased with it.

Our cruise line (Marella - previously Thomson and TUI) offer an excursion to the Nou Camp; the price is is 42 Pounds per adult and 22 Pounds per child (age 2-12) making 128 Pounds (146 Euros). I would expect most cruise lines to charge a similar price.

 

However, it is cheaper - and very easy - to pre-book on line and DIY. Just a short taxi drive from the port to the stadium if you don't feel like walking. Book direct with the Football Club rather than through an agent as they add their commission that raises the price. Here is the link you need:-

The price for 2 adults (pre-retirement age) + 2 children (age 6-13) booking direct with the link above is 90 Euros (79 Pounds UK). There is a 5 Euro discount for adults age 70+ and children under age 6 are free. You can chose your preferred time slot and do the tour at your own pace rather than being rushed around on an organised excursion. Dates for August are already on display.

Yes, very easy to book direct. Barcelona is a very easy city to get around by taxi or public Transport.

Definitely do it yourself, the cruise lines rip you off with excursion costs. You could even get a day ticket for the Hop On Hop Off open air bus which stops at the port. It's a nice bus ride and stops near the Nou Camp, a good way to see the rest of the city too if you haven't been before.
