altheimeer Posted May 8, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 8, 2018 We're a family of 4 booked in 2 connecting rooms on the Allure. The booking has the 2 adults in one room, and the 2 minor kids in the other room. It's possible (likely) that given ages and sleep times, we would want to have one kid and one adult sleep in each room from time to time. 1. Can RCL give us room keys for the other rooms separate from our normal cards? In case of a locked connecting door, to not wake anyone, and for similar reasons, it would be nice that the adults had key cards to both rooms. 2. Can we use one photo package for the family? If pictures are taken tied to the other room, can they be moved over and count within the package, or would we have to buy those separately? 3. Any other issues we should keep in mind? Thanks. Ourusualbeach Posted May 8, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 8, 2018 You can get extra keys made at guest services. Your connecting door is unlocked by the cabin steward. It will either be open or locked for your entire cruise. Minor children in another cabin are included with the photo package. Get the photographer to link the cabins. Skippy Posted May 8, 2018 #3 Share Posted May 8, 2018 That’s interesting. We weren’t able to book the kids separately in their own room. We had to do one kid and one adult in each room. Last year, we kept the door open the whole time or partially ajar if they were sleeping and we were up.

They will often tell you it can’t be done because they don’t want to take the time to make a phone call. There is one upside to booking an adult in each room - you get to bring four bottles of wine, two for each room with someone over 21 in it. Jmillsarch Posted May 8, 2018 #6 Share Posted May 8, 2018 Another benefit of booking one adult in each room is the drink packages. If one adult drinks and the other doesn't you won't be forced to buy 2 packages. James
Skippy Posted May 9, 2018 #7 Share Posted May 9, 2018 We don’t drink so that was a non issue for us. Good to know about getting extra keys.
