Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted May 17, 2018 #26 Share Posted May 17, 2018 We keep a very tidy room and I want two cleanings, I like fresh towels and a wipe down in bathroom and the bedding turn down is a. nice touch when your on vacation.
geckoaz Posted May 17, 2018 #27 Share Posted May 17, 2018 On the breeze last week we were given a card with the options. We had to sign the card. Loved the service.
jayscore Posted May 17, 2018 #28 Share Posted May 17, 2018 We were asked our preference of once or twice recently on the Miracle. For the first time ever, we chose morning only, providing the steward left double the towels and such when he was there. It worked out just fine. ;)
riclop Posted May 17, 2018 #29 Share Posted May 17, 2018 Hi - I haven't sailed carnival in several years but we are going on the Magic in 4 weeks. It seems strange to me that they've changed their room cleaning schedule to once a day unless requested. Do most people typically request both morning and evening? I would definitely prefer both but I feel a little bad if they're giving them more rooms to clean because of the new schedule. Just wondering how that's been working. Thanks for any feedback! It's your call.
Rare luckybecky Posted May 17, 2018 #30 Share Posted May 17, 2018 We like to stay up late at the comedy show and casino, and on sea days we sleep late. If we choose morning cleaning, but leave our Snoozin' sign out on those days we sleep late, will our steward typically go ahead and clean once we have vacated the cabin? What time would morning cleaning usually be? I agree, I don't like the room to be rumpled all day, but I also don't want to have to get up and out of the room earlier than desired just to be sure it gets cleaned at some point. Dmgabe Posted May 17, 2018 #31 Share Posted May 17, 2018 Last cruise I tossed our steward a 50 on the first day and you’d think he was our personal attendant the rest of the trip. He was a master of popping in and tidying things even when we were only gone for a short time. Was an exceptional guy and he got another big tip the last day. Always greeted us with a smile and addressed us by our names after we introduced ourselves on day one.
