We really enjoyed the live music playing at the Atrium Bar, great people watching location as well.

We went to the IMAX twice while on Vista and we felt it was well worth the extra $$.

Red Frogg has some great appetizer food choices as well but it can get really crowded in there.

We really enjoyed the decor of Vista and we'd sail her again but I'd want to try a Havana inside cabin as I am a pool person and it was crazy trying to find a lounger at one of the pools on Vista and even worse up on Serenity unless you got there early in the morning.

Enjoy the rest of your cruise!

Did I see that you are on Breeze Nov 3 sailing for 14 days.....us too!

Thanks, we're trying, schools out, the Vista is packed!

Yes we are on that cruise, we've actually been telling people about it cause it's such a different cruise.

But,,,,then the casino club made it an 'ultra' cruise, so the casino will be packed.

Oh well, the ports look like fun!

The show tonight, 'Flick', was great.

Just don't sit too close, about half way back would be good, cause they perform a lot on a stage in the middle of the showroom.

We sat in the second row, and had to turn around to see what was going on behind us.

There's a guy in this show, you'll know who I mean when you see him, is a phenomenal dancer! He had people standing, applauding him when he was introduced at the end!

Early impression of Matt Mitcham, he's 'really' a funny guy! His little bits before each show are just really funny!

Strange tonight, when the show started, the theater was only about half full, at the end, it was full!???

We had a sandwich in the buffet, then we'll call it a night, tomorrow is Cozumel, and Nacho Cocom!-))

We head out to the deli late, around 9:45 thinking the buffet closes at 9:30, so it'll be a sandwich, or a pizza, and the buffet was still open!!!

(BTW the sandwiches on the Vista are good, you just gotta order it your way, so they'll special make it for you!)

I had a bbq rib, a piece of bbq chicken, and some pasta, all good, so I'm a happy camper!

After eating, we head back to our cabin for the night!

A quick comment about service on the Vista, we've found it to be very good, example,,,

My wife forgot her charging plug for her laptop, she still had her tablet, but her games she plays every day are loaded on her laptop.

So she mentioned in passing to our cabin attendant this afternoon she was going to see if they sold them in the fun shops!

We didn't hold out much hope.

Tonight there's a knock on the door, our guy borrowed one from a crew member friend of his!

So as I'm writing this, she's happily playing her game on her fully charged laptop!-))

Sounds like you have an excellent cabin steward.

Yep, he says hi every morning, has our room cleaned every day when we're not around, and he went out of his way for my wife, so I'll make sure when we leave he's smiling from the tip I'll give him. ;p

We awaken today, still a couple hours away from Cozumel, so we decide to order room service, which again comes in about 10 minutes.

Today is a beach day, and Cozumel is one of our favorite ports!

My thoughts are as follows,,,

If the port is busy, and you just want a day at the beach/pool, Nacho Coconut is the pick. They limit the daily entries to about 130! But there aren't things to do there for kids, so it's mostly adults. They charge $55.pp, that includes a 4 course meal served on the beach, or at the seating area by the bar, all the drinks you want, with a swim up pool bar, and Jacuzzi!!

The others more popular that we'd suggest 'with' kids cause they have more activities for them are Playa Mia, Mr Sancho's.

If you ever come into Cozumel ported downtown, go north to Buccanos, an excellent restaurant, with a nice pool, nice beach area, and some pretty good snorkeling!

Great review!! We’re on the first leg of your B2B in July. We can’t wait! Love the teasers on the Vista compared to other ships. Enjoy your last day!!

The Vista is Different from any other ship Carnival has, except it's sister ship the Horizon.

One thing Vista has the Horizon doesn't is Matt Mitcham, the cruise director.

Go to YouTube if you haven't seen him, he's really funny.

Before every show in the theater, Matt does a bit, and they're all funny.

We got back from our day at Nachi Cocom, in Cozumel, Just a great day in the pool, having a few drinks, eating a meal later in the afternoon.

The cab cost one way to Nachi from the port is $17. if you don't share.

We were early off the ship, so we were alone in the cab, and one of the first ones to arrive.

I love this spot at the pool, it has loungers, and those beds with a canopy. I usually don't use them, my wife does, as she'll spend a few hours in the sun, using Viber to talk free to her family/friends in Europe. Nachi has free Wi-Fi so it's a perfect fit for her Viber calls.

Me, I'm in the pool the whole time, no need for loungers for me.

I spent the next 4-1/2 hours in the pool, meeting different people, having a drink at the swim up bar, doing my pool exercises.

Met some nice people off the Carnival Fantasy from Alabama, then a large family, I think they said 18 of them, off the Carnival Freedom from Fort Worth Texas. I actually did a shot of vodka with some of them at the swim up bar.

We eventually left the pool, (my wife joined my fun time after her phone calls) to the outdoor covered dining area to have something to eat, the food was good, but neither of us was hungry, it was a hot, humid, sunny day, and all that time in the water left us kinda tired.

We took our cab ride back to the port after saying good bye to our new friends, and my wife didn't even shop, I think because she knew I was pretty tired.

We got on the ship, to our cabin really quick as they had 3 entrances to the ship open to let us back on.

We took showers, then a nap, my wife woke me up, as she was already getting ready for tonight's early show in the theater, America Rocks.

We got some really good seats in the theater, Matt the cruise director stopped by to say hi to us, told us his plans in the future, what he'd like, he's really a nice guy to talk to beyond his great humor.

The show was like last week, was very good, the 12 singers and dancers were joined by a 4 piece live band on stage, then 3 horn players came out during a Chicago song. The performers had 4 smaller stages out in the audience they'd also sing and dance on, so it made the audience want to get involved.

The one thing that Carnival will have to figure out is, after you see these much larger productions on the Vista, how are cruisers going to react when the cruise a smaller ship after the Vista???

We head to the buffet, I have a sandwich, some salad, then we walked to the pool area to see the start of the NBA finals on the outdoor pool screen, and it's rather impressive picture and sound quality. The seats are almost full, but you could find a seat if you wanted. It was actually comfortable on a warm night, there was a nice breeze coming through from the ship moving.

The service on the outdoor screen was YouTube TV, and the reception was excellent.

We head back through the buffet to the rear elevators and notice there are an estimated 15-20 different tables of people playing card games. Nice seeing some families with their kids having fun together.

We head back to our cabin, the sun, humidity, the heat, we're great, but I'm tired with us nearing the end of our 2 week journey on the Vista.

Tomorrow's a sea day, likely we sleep in, get late breakfast.

Happy cruising, talk tomorrow!-))

We woke up this morning, and decided to call room service.

We had some leftovers from yesterday's room service, so I just asked for some coffee, juice, cream cheese, and jelly, and in 10 minutes room service was knocking on our door.

The room service guy who delivered, said he added a couple toasted bagels for us, a nice thought!

We ate, relaxed, and waited for the 10:00am Premiere slot tournament for those who earned at least 2000 points, I did, my wife didn't, so she'll stay in the cabin and talk on Viber to family and friends, then will meet me in the casino in a couple hours for the 'open to everyone' slot tournament!

I did awful in the Premiere slot tournament, as well as the open slot tournament, but my wife made the qualifying board for about 1/2 an hour until she too got bumped off!

We headed to the buffet for a late lunch, cause the dining room just closed, that happened to us multiple times, arriving 15 minutes late. Guess we better learn to tell time! -))

The buffet today had some excellent fried chicken, so I grabbed about 4 little pieces, I could've eaten more, but those 6 inch cakes were calling me! -))

Longest line is the line for those cakes!

I got a nice piece of chocolate frosted chocolate cake, yummy! -))

I offered to share with my wife,,,, knowing she doesn't like chocolate, but it made me look good! -))

Afterwards we split up, my wife went back to pack, while I returned, and lost in the casino. After the last 2 drawings, one for $1400., the second for $1500., both of which I didn't win, I head back to the cabin, and my wife is still packing! She likes to take her time, pack everything very neatly, precise, so I stay out of the way, writing this.

Tonight we'll just go to the buffet, and go to bed early, we're doing self assist, and we got to be in the main dining room by 7:15am to disembark priority with Platinum and Diamonds.

We parked our car at a parking garage just a couple blocks from the port, and they'll be there waiting just as we walk out, to shuttle us to the garage!

Our drive tomorrow home is about 5 hours (plus time for stoppingalong the way) to the Tampa area where we live.

This is when we really feel sorry for those who have to fly home, the traveling to the airport, the waiting in airports, the time flying, then the drive homefrom the airport, it's so much more exhausting then our drive home. I'm usually home sitting in my living room, relaxing, and many are still at an airport waiting to fly home.

Tomorrow when we get home, we'll review in totality, the Vista, the 2 cruises we took, what we liked, what we didn't like for those interested.

Of course we'll be happy to take questions, and help where we can.

Sorry to hear that you had lousy luck in the casino. I was hoping you would win big. If I can't win, I like to at least see others win.

Has the casino been crowded? I didn't know beforehand that our last cruise in December was an Ultra and man it was busy. I did notice that every morning they had a table with coffee, juices, and sweet rolls laid out for the guests. Okay....I might have helped myself to a coffee a couple of times. It reminded me of the casinos on NCL years ago, when they would always bring out little snacks late at night and have coffee and sweet rolls in the mornings.

Enjoy the rest of your evening and safe travels home. Thanks so much for taking the time to let us tag along on your journey. You really did a great job!

Yes the ultra cruises are very busy cause of the way they set up the drawings, the casino club players are always there!

These last 2 weeks, you could always find machines available, and both weeks were Premiere casino club cruises.

If we are able, we will post under a new thread next week, the fun times for the Vista southern 8 day cruise, and western 6 day cruise.

It's up to my wife cause it's her knowledge on these things! -))

Good information to know. I received my Premiere offers this week, but they are sad little offers. I'll wait till the fall when they are trying to fill the ships in hopes of getting a pack and play offer.
