Boarding 101

Recommended Posts

The reservation page for your cruise on the rccl website makes it sound like your "Cruise Docs", which become available on there at 60 or 45 days (I forget) precruise is fairly important. It is not important to board at all. Just keep any pages that personally interest you. Only the separately available Set Sail Pass will help you get on the ship and even if you don't have that all should work out with a minor delay.

Is the embarkation different in Port Liberty? I've seen pictures of kiosks that are used to check in and am curious how smooth that makes the check in process.

And you can take your embarkation security cruise pictures at home and upload them at home to make check-in a wee bit faster on Quantum and Oasis class ships. If you are sailing Adventure from Port Liberty rather than Anthem, please disregard.

Can someone walk me, step by step, through the boarding process? We will be in a GS on Majesty out of Tampa and are C&A members.

1. Show up

2. If you have bags you don't want to carry aboard, give them to porter and they will tag them and load them for delivery.

3. Any bags you wish to take aboard yourself, simply keep them with you.

4. Bring passport or appropriate ID and credit card.

5. Check in.

Simple, easy. Nothing else necessary.

People will tell you you need to check in online, print things, etc... It's all nonsense. Pay, show up, have fun!
