ne95014 Posted May 22, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 22, 2018 Can I bring a power strip or only extension cords? Sailing on Sensation in July with my daughter (lots of plugs!)
mdsgu Posted May 22, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 22, 2018 Either, as long as there is no surge protection.
chengkp75 Posted May 22, 2018 #3 Share Posted May 22, 2018 If your daughter is charging lots of electronics that use the ubiquitous USB charger, I suggest getting a multi-USB hub. They come in versions from 3-7 USB ports, or more, and only use one outlet. And, since nearly all of these devices can tolerate 220v, with a simple plug adapter, you can plug the USB charger into the 220v outlet and save the 110v North American outlet for everything else. Rare PrincessArlena'sDad Posted May 22, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 22, 2018 Surge protectors are fire hazards on ships. Most power strips have some sought of surge protector, so go with the extension cord.

Many inexpensive power strips do not have any surge protection.

This is exactly what we did. We used a type E/F plug adapter and used a multi-usb hub. I also used the 220v for my dual voltage hair dryer.
