jpm1973,

I am reaching out to you for help...

I was in cabin 10219 on last sailing. This morning I went to put on my diamond solitaire necklace that was my Mom's who passed away 10yrs ago. It wasn't in my jewelry bag.

Every cruise I take it off before getting in water. I took it off 1st night before the hot tub. I must have placed it loose in the safe.

I think when removing items on debarkation morning it must have slid under that front ledge in the safe.

I have searched every crevice of every bag..and double/triple searched. Been at it for 4hrs now. It's not here & I'm devastated.

I just filled out the lost/found form with Carnival & will call my PVP in the morning to see if she can offer any assistance.

Would you be willing to maybe drop by that room? Ask them to check the safe. Ask Tina the steward or guest services to check for the lost claim?

I spent all day at work just waiting to come home and search. I have had to come to terms with the fact that it is, in fact, probably gone for good. And, that I am responsible for that.

The sentimental value is high. My Mom had a head injury 10yrs ago on vacation. One of my last memories of her was as I was taking this necklace (along with her other jewelry) off of her so they could prep her for organ donation.

I would be forever grateful if you could take a few minutes to make someone on the ship aware that it is lost in that room.

I can't wait to know more about your cruise. I'm going on the same cruise in July. First time on Carnival and on a a cove balcony. My room will be 2256. I would like to know if there is discount for the thermal suites on the boat or if I can buy a pass for the day.

Day pass for the spa Thermal Suites is $40 per person.

I just spoke to Guest Services and she said that anything found is sent back to the “main office” which I assume is Miami. I’ll try to swing by the room though and see if I can find out any more from the steward or whoever is in there this sailing.

Enjoying your review! If you don’t mind, could you please post more fun times? I’d love to see more of them. Thanks! [emoji846]

The WiFi is mostly terrible so uploading lots of pics is challenging. I will try to post them tomorrow when we’re in Jamaica. If not I’ll definitely post the rest once I’m back in New Orleans.

Thank you so much for taking the time out of your cruise to do that. I sincerely appreciate it.

Enjoying your review, only 263 days til we sail on the Dream. DW and I were on the Sunshine last February doing the Southern route (Aruba/Curacao/Grand Turk) and that cruise had the most movement of any we've been on. They closed the top deck where the water slides were due to high winds, and the ship was creaking and shimmying the first two days. Got better after we reached Aruba. Thank goodness for Bonine :-)

I hope you have a fabulous cruise! This was my 4th on the Dream and loved every moment of it. We consider her our "home ship."

Again..thank you very much.

Staying on board today since there’s not much right around the port and navigating a taxi with mom in a wheelchair might be too challenging. Looking forward to a relatively empty ship and enjoying the sun that was MIA yesterday.

The MSC Armonia is in port with us.

So, the Armonia didn't hit any docks today? [emoji16]

Hi - This is good of you to do, we'll be aboard on the same itinerary in February.

If you happen to mosey by the Alchemy during the Your Time for LGBTQ it would be appreciated if you would take notice if people were there for the gathering.

Thanks

There was not one scheduled yesterday but I see it on today’s agenda at 11pm - will swing by and report back. In my experience these are always hit or miss with attendance. Hopefully some people will show up tonight.

What are your plans for Mobay? I'm on the Dream, doing the same itinerary in Jan. So any insights would be appreciated. Btw, it's been one rainy May in Memoirs. As in, it's rained almost everyday, usually around 3, for the past month. So, you're not missing much.

We are just staying on the ship today since getting anywhere requires a taxi or other transportation, which can be challenging with a wheelchair.

It’s been very rainy in New York too - seems like a wet spring all over!

You're the best! I'm just old enough to appreciate how cool it is to be experiencing your cruise in near real time. Like member Raxter54 here we sail the Dream for the first time in 263 days.

Yeah, the ships on most lines are hit or miss for the gatherings, on Princess there is usually a good turn out. However our busiest gathering bar none was with Carnival on the Spirit from San Diego when the assistant cruise director had three friends from his hometown sailing with him. After the main show in the lounge he joined the gathering with his friends and the dancers from the show in tow! We were part of a group of 38 ex pats from Rosarito Beach, Mexico so the lounge was overflowing that night. The Bar Manager had to bring in more staff to serve and guests walking by were rubbernecking at our fun. Good times.

Good luck to you and your mom in the casino.

I’ve had two cruises with good turn outs - my very first cruise on the Ecstasy, which was a Carnival Live sailing with Olivia Newton-John performing (hubby is a huge fan so it’s his fault that I like cruising so much now) and my second cruise on the Glory - no specific reason that I can tell just drew a good group.
