Verandah restaurant on QM2 - how easy to get reservations?

We have previously only sailed Celebrity and many times we have struggled to get speciality dining reservations at anything other than unpopular times or unpopular evenings.

 

Can anyone tell me how easy they found it to get reservations in The Verandah restaurant on QM2?

You may want to search for "Veranda" on the Cunard forum, and see what folks have written about the restaurant. We took a look at the posted lunch and dinner menus - and decided that the cover charge was not worth it.

We were treated to a meal there with friends. Not our preference, but we couldn't refuse. I would be asking on the Cunard forum here. EM

You can easily reserve the verandah ahead of your cruise and pay the $49 pp in advance. If you are booked in either of the grills the Cunard concierge will book it for you and it will be charged to your on board account.

 

I would suggest booking Verandah before your cruise, it's an excellent restaurant featuring a tasting menu. The service is top-notch, the food is really delicious, beautiful soothing space and table-side preparation make this a memorable evening. We are booked again for our QM2 cruise in July and really looking forward to it.
