Nineteenforever Posted June 5, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 5, 2018 Is there a need to use bug spray when taking excursions at the end of June ?. We will be visiting Stavanger, Skjolden, Hellesylt, Geiranger, Trondheim, Honningsvag, Gravdal, Alesund, Bergen.
kaisatsu Posted June 6, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 6, 2018 It couldn’t hurt. It’s nowhere near Alaska, and normally I wouldn’t even think about it. But I just threw some in my purse this week, because I’ve been bitten more times this year than the last ten combined! Depending on the weather and the particular area you’re in, it could be nice to have. Especially if you’re touring outside of towns.
hallasm Posted June 6, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 6, 2018 I have never used bug spray in the ports you are mentioning. And never experienced any problems. Sent from my iPad using Forums

rittsail Posted June 22, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 22, 2018 We didn’t see any mosquitoes or ticks the first of June this year in Norway, and we did hike a little bit. If you really want to be careful, you could take the wipes instead of the spray. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
