This was cruise #16 for us, first with Princess. We always cruise midship because we feel that you don't feel the motion (if there is any) as much. We loved our cabin, Baja deck 615. Our balcony was nice (small table with two chairs), quiet, room steward a doll (Mary Gaye Mozzo), and we were on the docking side of the ship. Whenever we were in port we could see all the activity from our balcony. If we ever return to the Dawn Princess, we will definitely stay in that cabin again.

Regarding aft cabins, we have only stayed there once, and that was enough for us. Perhaps others can provide more insight than I did. Whatever you decide, hope you have a wonderful cruise.
